VEZO

Valahantsaka resort Madagascar - Il popolo Vezo in una cerimonia tribale

The Vezo population

For those of you who do not want just to explore nature, but wish to deepen their  knowledge of people who are totally integrated with the land in which they live, there is the possibility of contacting very remote  local communities living on the “bay of murderers”.
The villages of Lamoara, Antsepoke, Tapolove can easily be reached by land or sea; there you can talk with the chiefs of the village who are very nice and willing and take your time observing everyday life.

In some periods (and with a bit of luck) you can see ceremonies such as Bilo or Fomba (spiritual propitiatory ceremonies).
For those who wish to understand how they prepare for future life, there is a chance to visit the schools of Andavadoaka where more than 200 children benefit from the help of our NGO Blue Venture, this will not be possible during July, August and September as it is the annual holiday for pupils and teachers.
